The uman mobile app is made for the meetings you have in person. It shows you what uman prepared, records the conversation, and turns it into a follow-up. Everything below happens on your phone.

📱 Your meetings
When you log in, you see your sales meetings, both upcoming and past.
📋 What uman prepared for you
Open a meeting to see the preparation uman made for it. You get an overview of the account, the deal and the people joining, plus suggested meeting objectives based on past conversations and everything else uman gathered about the account.
🎙️ Record an in-person meeting
Open the meeting and tap Start recording. You then choose how you want to capture it:
Meeting: record the conversation as it happens
Notes: dictate a summary afterwards
Upload from phone: send an audio file you already have
Offline recordings: upload a recording still waiting on your phone
Whichever option you pick, uman transcribes and processes the audio for you.
Before you start:
Check that you opened the right meeting. The meeting name sits at the top of the screen. Moving a recording to another meeting afterwards needs our support team, so it is worth a second look.
Charge your phone and free up space. The app needs at least 100 MB of free storage to start. If space runs critically low mid meeting, the recording pauses automatically.
Put your phone on the table, between you and the other participants, rather than in your pocket or bag. That gives the clearest transcription.
Record the full meeting
Choose Meeting to record the conversation live. You see a timer and a moving audio waveform while it runs.
Tap Pause to take a break, then Resume to continue
Tap Stop when the meeting is over
Tap Save to upload the recording to uman
There is no time limit. Record as long as you need, as long as your phone has storage left.
You can keep using your phone while recording. It continues in the background, so you can lock your screen, take notes, or switch to another app. Just do not swipe uman away from your recent apps, because that stops the recording. Closing other apps is fine.
💡 Always tap Save after you stop. Your recording is only uploaded once you save it. If something goes wrong before that, like the app closing or your battery dying, uman spots the unfinished recording the next time you open it and offers to recover it.
While the upload runs you see a progress indicator. Leave the app open until processing finishes. If the upload fails, for example on a weak connection, your recording stays safely on your phone and you can retry it yourself from the same screen.
Dictate notes after a meeting
Choose Notes when the meeting already happened and you want to talk through what was discussed. It works like a full recording, with a limit of 15 minutes. When you reach the limit, the app asks you to save what you have or reset and start over.
This is the fastest option right after you walk out of a meeting, while the details are still fresh.
Upload an audio file
Choose Upload from phone when you already have a recording on your device, for example a voice memo. Your file browser opens, you pick the file, and uman processes it like a live recording. MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, OGG and WEBM files all work. Clear audio gives the best result.

📶 Record without a connection
No Wi-Fi or mobile signal is fine. Record as usual and the file is stored on your phone.
Once you are back online and open the meeting, Start recording shows an Offline recordings option with the number of recordings waiting. Tap it and pick the one you want to upload.
You can even record before you log in. Tap Record on the login screen, capture your meeting, and upload it once you are signed in.
🔎 If a recording does not show up
Work through these steps in order.
Check that you saved it. After stopping, a recording is only uploaded once you tap Save. If the app crashed or was force closed while recording, open uman again: it saves partial recordings and offers to recover them.
Look in Offline recordings. Open the meeting, tap Start recording, then Offline recordings, and tap your recording to upload it. You see the upload percentage, after which uman starts generating your follow-up. For longer recordings this takes a few minutes.
Check the backup recordings. Go to the Recordings tab and tap Find it here at the bottom, under "Unable to find a recording?". This shows recordings that are no longer in your list, which helps when one seems to have disappeared.
Been processing for more than 15 minutes? Contact our support team with the meeting name and date so we can look into it.
Nothing to be found anywhere? Contact our support team. In some cases we can recover the recording from the server.
✅ Your meeting follow-up
After the meeting, open it to read the follow-up uman generated. Just like in your browser, you get suggested next steps and sales coaching insights based on the transcription.
ℹ️ Good to know
Each meeting holds one recording. If you start and stop a short recording by mistake, you cannot record that meeting again. Contact our support team and we remove it so you can start over.
Recording on the wrong meeting? Contact our support team with the meeting it is on now (name and date) and the meeting it belongs to. We move it across and regenerate the follow-up for the right meeting.
Cannot log in? If the app cannot find an account with your email address, your workspace admin needs to invite you first. Contact them, or tap Request a demo. If you get a network error instead, check your connection and try again.
