đ What this is
You can add uman as a custom connector in Claude. Claude can then look up and search your uman data (accounts, contacts, deals, meetings, leads, outreach and portfolio) whenever you ask it something. The connection is read-only and only ever sees what you see in uman. See the Overview for everything it can access.
đ What you need
A Claude plan. Custom connectors work on every plan; on the Free plan you can add one custom connector.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an organisation Owner adds uman once for everyone. On Enterprise, a custom role with Manage access to Libraries can add it too.
An active uman account. You sign in with the same Microsoft or Google work account you use for uman.
đ˘ Add uman for your whole organisation (Team or Enterprise)
An Owner does this once. After that, every member only has to connect (see the next section).
In Claude, go to Organization settings > Connectors.
Select Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
Fill in the connector details and select Continue:
Name:
uman(this is the name your members see)URL:
https://mcp.uman.ai/sse
Claude detects uman's sign-in settings by itself. Select Continue.
Under Authentication, select Sign in when needed, so each member signs in with their own uman account.
Under OAuth client, select Register automatically. Do not use Use Claude's published identity: uman does not support it, and the connection fails.
Leave Request headers empty and select Add.
đ¤ Connect as a member
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
Find uman in the list (it carries a Custom label) and select Connect.
A sign-in window opens. uman asks you to confirm that you want to connect Claude to your uman account. Approve it, then sign in with Microsoft or Google, whichever you use for uman.
uman now shows as connected.
đ Add uman just for yourself (Free, Pro or Max)
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
Enter
umanas the name andhttps://mcp.uman.ai/sseas the URL, then select Continue.Claude detects uman's sign-in settings by itself. Select Continue.
Under OAuth client, select Register automatically. Do not use Use Claude's published identity: uman does not support it, and the connection fails.
Leave Request headers empty and select Add.
Next to uman, select Connect. A sign-in window opens. uman asks you to confirm that you want to connect Claude to your uman account. Approve it, then sign in with Microsoft or Google, whichever you use for uman.
â Use it in a chat
In a chat, select the + button at the bottom left, open Connectors and make sure uman is switched on. Then ask something like "Which meetings do I have with Acme this month?" or "Summarise the open leads on my accounts". Claude calls uman and answers with your data, and shows which uman tool it used.
đ Signing in
Everyone connects with their own uman account, so each person only sees the uman data they already have access to.
You only sign in once. Claude keeps the connection active in the background.
You can remove the connection at any time under Customize > Connectors. Owners remove it for the whole organisation under Organization settings > Connectors.
â Troubleshooting
The connection fails right after you add uman: check the OAuth client setting. Remove the connector and add it again with Register automatically.
The sign-in window does not open: allow pop-ups for claude.ai and select Connect again.
Sign-in is refused: make sure you sign in with the account you use for uman. Only people with a uman account can connect.
You cannot add a custom connector on the Free plan: the Free plan allows one custom connector. Remove the one you have, or upgrade.
Claude stops finding your data: under Customize > Connectors, disconnect uman and connect again.
Still stuck? Reach out to your uman contact.
