Outreach in uman helps you run consistent follow-up with prospects and customers, without losing flexibility. You do this using collections (reusable content) and sequences (a scheduled set of steps).
Types of outreach
Prospecting outreach — For new prospects you want to convert into customers
Expansion outreach — For existing customers (upsell/cross-sell)
Contact statuses in outreach
Status | What it means |
Preparing | uman is gathering stakeholder insights and generating draft outreach content. |
Contacting | Everything is ready and you can start running outreach activities. |
Meeting booked | A meeting is scheduled with this contact. |
Disqualified | This contact isn’t a fit. |
Paused | Outreach to this contact is temporarily paused. |
Managing outreach tasks
On the homepage, a Tasks card shows your upcoming outreach activities.
The dedicated task list groups work by type (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and separates prospecting vs. expansion tasks. The task list appears once you have scheduled sequences.
Outreach actions
Disqualify — Disqualify a contact, an opportunity, or the entire account (depending on the situation).
Reactivate — Bring a disqualified contact back into outreach (continue the current campaign or enrol in a new one).
Pause — Temporarily stop outreach.
Remove — Remove a contact from outreach.
Regenerating content
You can regenerate outreach content for specific steps when you want a fresh angle. uman prevents overlapping edits when multiple team members work on the same content.
Outreach campaign configuration (Sales Managers only)
Sales Managers can configure sequences in Settings > Prospects > Outreach.
An outreach campaign is a planned set of steps over time (messages, emails, calls, reminders) with timing and ordering built in.
A default outreach campaign is provided. You can activate it, duplicate it, or create your own.
You can test content for a specific stakeholder before using it at scale: open the content (“View”), then click “Generate” to preview the personalised output.
