Overview

How uman connects to your CRM, what it can do, and what it never does

uman connects to your CRM so that your meetings, outreach, and account activity stay in sync with your pipeline, without manual data entry. You work in uman; your CRM stays up to date.

The integration works in both directions: uman reads your existing deals, contacts, accounts, and pipelines from your CRM, and writes back notes and stage updates after meetings, always on your terms, never automatically in the background.

🔌 Supported platforms

  • HubSpot

  • Salesforce

  • Microsoft Dynamics

  • Odoo 18 & 19

🧭 Key principles

  • You're always in control. uman is deterministic by design: nothing is updated or created automatically. Every action happens because you triggered it, so you always know exactly what's been sent to your CRM.

  • Personal credentials. uman uses a user-level integration, not a system integration. Each team member connects their own CRM account individually, so uman works within the exact access your CRM already grants you, and records created or updated in the CRM are attributed to that person directly, not to uman, not to an admin.

  • Shared context. Once an account or deal is linked, everyone working on that account sees the same CRM context, while your CRM's own permissions still apply.

  • No deletions, ever. uman can create and update records, but will never delete anything from your CRM.

🔭 Coming soon

Even more admin control is on its way:

  • Master data control - only link to records that already exist in your CRM.

  • Record creation checks - duplicate lookup and required fields when creating records.

  • Data enrichment safeguards - mismatch warnings, with updates always user-initiated.

⚡ The four main things you can do

🤝 1. Link a deal to a meeting

Connect any meeting to an existing deal in your CRM, or create a new one if it doesn't exist yet. The link is shared across your workspace: one person sets it up, everyone sees it. See Managing your deals for the full flow.

📝 2. Push notes and updates after a meeting

After a meeting, choose what to send back to your CRM: meeting notes, the AI summary, deal stage, and contact detail updates. Nothing is pushed without your confirmation. You'll find this in the Update CRM section of every meeting follow-up.

👤 3. Link or create contacts

From the outreach section, link contacts to existing CRM records or create new ones with data pre-filled from what uman already knows: name, email, phone number, job title. If any details have changed, you can push specific fields back to the CRM. You can also link a contact to your CRM when you push an opportunity's stakeholders to outreach: see Reviewing & acting on opportunities.

🏢 4. Push notes and updates for accounts

Same as with deals: after a meeting, you can push notes, the AI summary, and account-level updates directly to the linked CRM account. You can link an account to your CRM when you add it, or any time from the account page.

🚫 What uman does not do automatically

  • No background updates: uman never writes to your CRM without you triggering it

  • No automatic record creation: uman won't create deals, contacts, or accounts unless you explicitly ask it to

  • No deletions, ever
