Overview screen
To get started with the Business Development module, simply click the button in the left side bar on the overview screen:
When clicking on the button, the following screen will open:
Add target accounts you'd like to pursue by clicking 'import leads'.
There are different options to select leads:
Search for accounts: this is a search experience on LinkedIn to select your target accounts.
Add from accounts database: user your database to select more target accounts, similar to your leads or industry.
Import from CSV: upload your own CSV file with your target accounts.
Select the account you want to prospect on by using the search bar:
Click on ‘import 1 account’ & select ‘view leads’.
The new lead has been added in your overview. The whole account is being researched — you can see this under the outreach status ‘Researching’.
This can take a couple of minutes.
After refreshing, the outreach status will change to ‘ready to engage’.
The opportunity score and number of opportunities have been added:
Opportunity score represents the relevance of your offerings to a specific customer in percentage.
Opportunity count indicates the number of suggested opportunities you can present to your customers based on their needs and context.
Clicking on the new lead opens a detailed pop-up:
About: tailored short introduction about the accounts.
Key points: personalised summary of sales relevance.
The potential opportunities for this lead are displayed in more detail, each with its specific score giving you a clear, at-a-glance overview of the offerings worth discussing.
Click on the opportunity you’d like to pursue.
Select a potential opportunity to view its details:
Each potential opportunity outlines the customer’s situation and challenges, our proposed solution and the expected results and benefits.
Below that, you'll find the relevant offerings linked to this opportunity.
Additionally, we provide an overview of the key stakeholders to contact.
Click the ‘Reach Out’ button to gain deeper insights into the key stakeholder and initiate contact. The status will be changed to 'Contacting'.
Next, navigate to the 'Contacts' tab to view an overview of the people you’ve engaged with:
To view more details, simply click the person's name to open their stakeholder profile:
This pop-up is giving you a complete overview of the person you want to contact - for example, their potential business challenges and relevant small talking points.
In the top-right corner, you’ll find outreach assets designed to help you kick off the conversation with relevant messages and insights, based on Uman's research. You can select the appropriate opportunity to instantly surface the most relevant details. You can also adjust the language of the content to match the preferred language of your prospect.
You can easily copy and paste these messages to use in your conversations.
Once a meeting is scheduled with your prospect, simply click 'Confirm meeting'. The contact’s status will then update to 'Meeting booked'.
