Overview of upcoming meetings
When you login to the mobile app, you'll first see your sales meetings, both upcoming and past.
Sales meeting preparation
When clicking on a sales meeting, you'll see the meeting preparation that uman has created for you. It gives you an:
Overview of the account, deal and participants of the meeting as well as suggested meeting objectives based on past conversations and other insights uman gathered on the prospect.
Record in-person meetings
There are several ways to capture your sales meetings using the uman mobile app. Whether you're recording a live conversation, dictating quick notes afterwards, or uploading a file you already have — uman will transcribe and process everything automatically.
To get started, open a meeting in the app and tap Start recording. You'll see the following options:
Record a full meeting
Choose Meeting when you want to record an entire conversation as it happens — for example, during a face-to-face meeting with a prospect or customer.
Once the recording starts, you'll see a timer and a live audio waveform on your screen. You can:
Tap Pause if you need to take a break, and Resume when you're ready to continue
Tap Stop when the meeting is over
After stopping, tap Save to upload the recording to uman
There is no time limit for meeting recordings — you can record for as long as you need, as long as your phone has enough storage space.
💡 Always tap Save after stopping the recording. If you close the app or navigate away before saving, your recording may not be uploaded. Don't worry though — if something goes wrong (like the app crashing or your phone losing battery), uman will automatically detect the incomplete recording the next time you open the app and offer to recover it.
Dictate notes after a meeting
Choose Notes when the meeting has already happened and you want to quickly summarise what was discussed by speaking into your phone.
This works exactly like a full recording, but with a maximum duration of 15 minutes. When you reach the limit, the app will ask you to save or reset the recording.
This is a great option when you've just walked out of a meeting and want to capture the key points while they're still fresh in your mind.
Upload a recording from your phone
Choose Upload from phone if you already have an audio recording saved on your device — for example, a file from another recording app or a voice memo.
After tapping this option, your phone's file browser will open. Select the audio file you want to upload and uman will process it just like a live recording.
Supported audio formats include MP3, AAC, WAV, M4A, and most other common audio file types.
📶 This option is only available when you have an internet connection.
Recover offline recordings
If you recorded a meeting while offline (for example, with no Wi-Fi or mobile signal), the recording is saved locally on your phone. The next time you have a connection and open a meeting, you'll see an Offline recordings option showing how many recordings are pending. Tap it to select the recording you want to upload.
You can also find offline or lost recordings by going to the Recordings tab in the app and tapping Find it here at the bottom of the screen. This will show you any backup recordings that haven't been uploaded yet — useful if the app crashed during a recording or if a recording seems to have disappeared.
Tips while recording
Make sure your phone has at least 100 MB of free storage before starting a recording. If storage gets low during a recording, you'll see a warning. If it drops below 100 MB, the recording will automatically pause.
During upload, you'll see a progress indicator. Do not close the app while the upload is in progress — wait until processing is complete.
If an upload fails due to a bad connection, the app will retry automatically. If it still doesn't work, your recording is safely stored on your device and you can try again later.
Sales meeting follow-up
After the meeting you can check the meeting follow-up that uman has generated. Just as with the browser application, you'll find suggested next steps and sales coaching insights based on the meeting transcription.
